Coon's Point Cottagers Association Annual GALA Award Nominations

The Association Executive staff is looking for nominations for the Get A Lot Accomplished (GALA) award. The GALA award is a volunteer recognition program we started last year (Ed Martin, and his tireless work, was the first recipient) and intend to continue it going forward.

As promised last year at the first annual award, Paulo Durando has graciously made a Sand Lake pillow as the prize.

Nominations can be sent to webmaster@coonspoint.com in advance of the AGM on July 16th, 2022 @ 11am. Optionally a nomination can be given at the AGM floor in advance of the actual meeting, in confidence, by approaching the Association Executive staff.

Thanks again to Paulo and get your nominations in!

Coon's Point Cottagers Association Annual General Meeting - 2022

The executive team met the past couple of weekends (June 4th and 11th, 2022) to discuss this year's AGM. It will be held as usual at the Sand Lake Day Camp on Saturday, July 16th, 2022 @ 11am.

With regards to any lingering concerns about COVID, we trust people's judgement. If you're worried and want to attend, we'll be outside and there will be lots of room to distance if you feel you need it.

Association dues for 2022 will remain unchanged at $150. Please see the e-mail notice that was sent out for more information on how to e-transfer or pay by cheque.

As usual, if you know of someone that should be on the association mailing list, or you are reading this and did not receive the more detailed AGM e-mail, please send their contact information to webmaster@coonspoint.com

See you on July 16th.

Sand lake Fireworks this Canada Day

It's been a couple of years but the Sand lake fireworks will be held again this Canada Day. They've shifted back a bit to the Sand lake Marina itself but will be visible by boat as usual from the lake. So if you're up this weekend get out an enjoy he show if you can.

Another note of relief is it seems the Gypsy moth eggs seem to have not survived the Winter or Spring. They should be falling from the trees by now. Either the Winter was especially cold, or the wet and fluctuating Spring temperatures we too much for them.

Have a happy Canada Day!

Welcome to the new Coon's Point Cottage Association Member's Web site

We decided to migrate the association web site to the Google Blogger app to facilitate rapid site updates and sharing of information. The previous site was time consuming to maintain and as a result it was not frequently updated. This new format will allow any executive member with access to the site to post updates and for any association members to subscribe and receive updates if they choose.

Hopefully the move proves useful to all members.
